Lora Flaugh
Founder & CEO

Lora Flaugh is a designer, strategist, and producer of brands for both consumer goods and fashion collections. She has extensive experience conceptualizing, developing, and launching brands in multiple market sectors.

Leading Art Zulu, which she launched in 1999, means shaping the agency's overarching vision as well as guiding teams of creatives including fashion designers, copywriters, and interactive and graphic designers, who work across all disciplines. Her focus is on reshaping and producing new brands that can become in-store program proposals that Art Zulu presents directly to retailers.

Her experience as Design Director at Guess was a springboard to working with clients such as Halston, leading to its sale to Jimmy Choo and Harvey Weinstein. Lora Flaugh has forged professional relationships with The Sharper Image, Kenneth Cole, and Sean John, while also working with retailers to create in-store programs both directly and indirectly for national department stores like Bloomingdale's, Kohl's, and JCPenney. 

Daniel Burns
Creative Director

Daniel Burns has played a significant role in shaping Art Zulu’s creative vision, ensuring that Art Zulu stays true to its rich legacy through the fostering of creative ideas in digital media and broadcasting.

Daniel leads the development of the digital studio, Art Zulu’s fast- growing digital media production group. He oversees the design, development, and production of groundbreaking interactive and video projects. Daniel’s background is extensive and diverse, and he has directed major ad campaigns, commercials, music videos and films spanning multiple markets and disciplines in both the US and abroad. He has directed traditional and interactive media projects for USA Networks, BMG, HBO, Showtime, Monday Night Football, Maxim, Perrier, Olay, and Roche Laboratories.

Daniel realizes the opportunity in the interactive platforms and understands the importance of bringing the digital experience to the retail environment. His goal is to focus on building the interactive division for Art Zulu and develop engaging web campaigns that integrate all facets of marketing, such as banners ads, e-commerce, and search optimization.

Anthony Tam
Design Director | Branding

Prior to joining Art Zulu, Anthony Tam has designed retail, environmental, product, and packaging branding programs domestically and internationally. He is well versed in the development of strategic plans for companies that specialize in experiential and environmental branding. His background in Communication Design have helped him to establish an expertise in translating design concepts into realities.  His strategic approach to design has produced many innovative yet practical solutions to a wide range of design challenges.

Aura Taylor 
Design Director | Fashion

Over the past 10 years Aura Taylor has accumulated fashion industry experience in clothing design from initial concepts and apparel designs, to branding and international fabrication both in Europe and the US. Upon completing her M.F.A in Fashion Design from the Academy of Art University with honors, Aura was chosen to showcase her collection at the New York Fashion Week in February 2011. The sophisticated tailored designs with innovative heat bonding and welded seam techniques received an abundance of positive feedback, earning her praises in the New York Times by one of fashion’s toughest critics, Cathy Horn. Following her triumphant debut, she has worked closely with Lora on design strategy for clients such as Tiesto, Conde Nast and Li & Fung. Aura currently works for New York fashion agency Art Zulu as senior designer. 

Caroline Hesp
Lead Designer | Fashion

Caroline Hesp is a fashion design and technical specialist from the UK with defined skills in design, pattern cutting, grading, illustration, color prediction and technical excellence within the apparel industry. She completed a unique and internationally renowned contour and fashion degree within the intimate and apparel industry, graduating with honors. Caroline is a very accomplished designer who has worked with a number of top London brands such as Triumph, Harriet's Muse and Lascivious. Her final university collection was showcased at the 2011 graduate London catwalk, followed by an international tour through Hong Kong and Japan. Since then, Caroline has been working at Art Zulu as the lead fashion designers on projects including a micro collection called Launch A Star for Stand Up to Cancer and a tween clothing line for Cynthia Rowley. She is currently working as assistant designer for Lora Flaugh's upcoming fashion brand, LORA, set to launch in Spring 2013. 

Ryan Thomas
Digital Director | Interactive

Ryan Thomas has worked in the IT industry for 15 years. He has directed development, use and adoption of technology for almost every vertical: entertainment, hospitality, retail/fashion and government/education; he has made a career out of leveraging technology innovation to solve business challenges. At his core, Ryan Thomas is an experimenter, constantly tinkering and learning. With a holistic approach and focus on web based technology that builds a brand based digital strategy; Ryan incorporates business insights, processes and innovation into the mix.
 
In the fall of 2009 Ryan Thomas joined Art Zulu to share their mission of developing compelling, real-time interactive environments. It was this tradition that attracted him to Art Zulu and their approach to creative brand strategy, imaginative innovation and client alignment with their marketing priorities and objectives. Under Ryan Thomas' direction the Art Zulu Interactive team aims to become the leading and most innovative in the industry.

Tom Schreffler
Manager | Client Services

Tom Schreffler joined the Art Zulu team in July of 2006. As a Client Services Manager, he acts as a liaison between our valued customers and Art Zulu’s various production departments. Tom is dedicated to delivering a level of excellence for customer service and satisfaction. As the Manager of the customer service team, Tom is enthusiastic about helping our customers and acts as an integral part of our team by providing support to the entire organization.
 
Tom is a perfect fit as our Client Services Manager based upon his past experience. Prior to joining Art Zulu, Tom assisted a top-level photographer, working on ad campaigns for national and international clients such as Kraft, General Foods, Coca Cola, Miller Brewing and editorial spreads for major magazines.
 
Tom, an eager learner, took to Flash development and has produced an array of stunning websites for many of Art Zulu customers. His understanding of the production, development and customer relations makes him a unique individual to allow seamless communication with the production department and our customers on a daily basis. Tom strives to build trust and strong long term relationships that ensure that quality and service exceed customer expectations.
